star Jules Kounde overcame his mistake to make it 2-2 LaLiga draw Celta Vigo.

The Catalans missed a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table when they squandered a two-goal lead in the final five minutes in Vigo.

Although it looked like Barcelona were certain to take victory in Galicia, complacency cost Barcelona a loss, with Kounde largely responsible.

Kounde came into possession of the ball on the edge of his own penalty area in the run-up to Alfon Gonzalez’s goal – which led to 2-1 that evening – as the Frenchman failed in an attempt to pass back.

In his post-match interview, Kounde made his assessment of the situation clear and said he wanted to move on.

“We didn’t do what we needed to throughout the game and we got punished at the end. As far as I’m concerned, I didn’t play a good game. I lacked concentration. “I made a very big mistake in a very simple passage of the game,” he said in the final phase.

“We have to get back to our level. When things are going well, it’s easy. Now we have to be united and give our best again.”

Kounde and his Barcelona teammates have only a small window of opportunity to turn things around in the coming days as they prepare to host Stade Brest in the UEFA Champions League on November 26, having picked up nine points from four games so far.
