Ed Sheeran has apologized for interrupting Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim's live TV interview after Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Ipswich Town.
Amorim, who is taking charge of United for the first time, was interviewed at Portman Road by Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates, former United captain Roy Keane, former Manchester City midfielder Izzy Christiansen and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp .
Singer-songwriter Sheeran, minority owner at Ipswich, interrupted the pitchside interview to greet Redknapp.
Referring to Amorim, Sheeran said: “I don't think he wants to talk to me.” He added: “I love being back in the Premier League.”
Then he left and the interview continued.

After Ipswich were promoted twice in a row to secure a return to the Premier League this season, he was bought a minority stake at the club this summer.
