Amorim has 13 days during the international break to prepare for his first away game as manager on November 24 against Ipswich in the Premier League.
Amorim has predominantly played a 3-4-3 system during his time in Portugal and says he knows how he wants his team to line up at Old Trafford.
“I know how I will play at the beginning because you have to start with a structure that you know and then adapt to the players you have,” Amorim said.
“Some injuries or no injuries, what kind of players, the ability to defend, to attack… I’ll find out in the next few weeks.”
United are yet to confirm the exact composition of Amorim's backfield team and whether Ruud van Nistelrooy, who took over as interim team following the sacking of Erik ten Hag, will remain at the club.
“I have to talk to him tomorrow,” Amorim said on Sunday evening. “I will explain everything. I'll be clear and tell you. So let’s wait until tomorrow.”
