World number two Iga Swiatek secured back-to-back wins and led Poland into the first semi-final of the Billie Jean King Cup with a comeback win over the Czech Republic.
After Czech Marie Bouzkova won her opening singles match against Magdalena Frech, it was up to Swiatek to keep Poland's hopes alive.
The five-time Grand Slam champion first defeated Czech teenager Linda Noskova, whom she eliminated from the Australian Open in January, 7:6 (7:4), 4:6, 7:5 in a match that lasted two hours and Lasted 39 minutes.
Swiatek then returned to the court for a rare doubles match with Katarzyna Kawa. The pair secured a 6-1, 6-4 win over Katerina Siniakova and Bouzkova to secure a place in the semi-finals.
“I’ll be dead in 20 minutes,” Swiatek joked afterwards.
“It was a tiring day, but everything worked out. We did a great job, we won.”
