The Chicago Bears are in a major offensive hole and have seen their scoring dip below .500 in three straight losses. On Monday, head coach Matt Eberflus promised “changes and adjustments” on that side of the ball, but didn't reveal exactly what changes will be made other than to reinforce the rookie Caleb Williams as the starting quarterback moving forward.

“Caleb is our starter,” Eberflus said, adding that he is still “making the right decisions for the Bears” when it comes to offensive preparation.

Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in April hasn't thrown a touchdown in nearly a month and has completed less than 54% of his passes in each of the Bears' last three games, all losses. His 120 yards against the New England Patriots Sunday was his lowest since Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.

Eberflus, meanwhile, recently defended offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, who oversaw the Bears' stagnant offense that ranks 30th in yards per game and 24th in points per game. Reports following Chicago's loss to New England in Week 10 suggested Waldron could be relieved of his playing duties.

The offensive turmoil comes less than a calendar year after Eberflus and general manager Ryan Poles destroyed the club's previous roster and fired former offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and later the quarterback Justin Fieldsalso a former first-round pick, in the 2024 offseason.
