A name that isn't talked about enough is D'Lo Brown, who became a crucial part of the WWE midcard during “The Attitude Era.” D'Lo was one of the most valuable members of the roster and was, in retrospect, greatly underrated by wrestling fans for his skills in the ring and his innate charisma that came through in his performances.
He would have a very successful run in the late 90s as part of the WWE midcardand racked up a string of title wins that provided material reward for his hard work and talent. It's worth remembering those who made The Attitude Era a success from below, and D'Lo Brown is one such figure.

There were some gems on the WWE midcard who made the most of their time on screen by shining in the ring, even by doing the simple things well. D'Lo Brown was an example of this as he was reliable, entertaining and was able to shine and find some success on a stacked roster.

However, against other underrated opponents like X-Pac and Jeff Jarrett, his work always shined, even in short bursts. He is best known for his time as European championwhere he is tied with William Regal for the most reigns with the belt with four. The title itself was never really treated with much reverence in WWE, but D'Lo used it to create an identity that made him closely associated with the championship.
He is also one of three men (along with Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett) to become “Eurocontinental Champion” and hold the European and Intercontinental titles simultaneously. His single Intercontinental The championship reign adds to his collection of titles that any WWE performer would be proud of.

For all his success as an individual, D'Lo Brown Perhaps he is still best remembered for his role in The Nation of Domination. The faction, which also helped launch the wrestling careers of The Rock and Mark Henry, starred D'Lo in a supporting role from January 1997 to November 1998. His partnership with Henry and eventual feud against his former ally were effective business moves that helped Brown stand out.

Unfortunately, D'Lo is also known for his role in the botch that ended Darren “Droz” Drozdov’s career and left him a quadriplegic in 1999. Brown has often taken responsibility for botching the running powerbomb that caused the injury, but “Droz” insisted it was simply an accident and never blamed D'Lo for the incident.
As the 2000s came, D'Lo struggled to stay in the conversation within WWE and left the company in 2003. He found some success overseas with All Japan Pro Wrestling and three stints in TNA for the company, where he became a member of the Aces & Eights faction.
Brown briefly returned to WWE in 2008, defeating Santino Marella without doing much else. He then left the company again at the beginning of the following year. His last match came at a Border City Wrestling event in October 2023, where he teamed with Scott D'Amore and Tommy Dreamer.
D'Lo Brown never reached the peak of his early peak during the Attitude Era, but he enjoyed a journeyman career worth reflecting on fondly. Countless performers have joined the WWE and not had nearly as much success as D'Lo, and fans who saw him will always remember his quality work. He is undoubtedly a future candidate for the WWE Hall of Famebe it alone or as part of the Nation of Domination. It would certainly be a nice gesture from the company he worked for during the most successful period of the late 90s.
