Key insights
Jade Cargill was written off WWE TV, a parking lot attack designed to remove her from the ongoing scene.
Whether Cargill is truly hurt or if this is all part of a plot is still unknown.
There's even a theory that behind-the-scenes politics played a role in Cargill being banned from television.
Jade Cargill was rather unceremoniously axed from television last week, requiring some unexpected changes in the angles in which she was actively involved, suggesting that her sudden absence was not planned. Most important of all, Cargill was scheduled to compete in a WarGames match at Survivor Series tonight. Bayley now takes her place in the match. Cargill was also scheduled to take part in the US women's title match, but was replaced by Lash Legend.
No one seems to know whether Cargill's injury is real or not
Cargill was written off from the TV space by a parking lot attack. A tool commonly used by WWE to remove someone from a storyline when they are truly injured. Reports shortly after the attack confirmed this was the case and Cargill is dealing with a real injury that means she can't wrestle. However, PWInsider followed to that initial report, confidently refuting it and claiming that Cargill was not hurt because he cited other reports and called them “100 percent false.”

WWE: Jade Cargill's injury must lead to shocking heel turn
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were a great team, but with Cargill out of action, it's time for a big new story.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer NewsletterDave Meltzer has confirmed that there are three theories as to why Cargill was banned from television, and no one seems to know which one is true. In fact, the latest about Cargill's removal from television includes the suggestion that not even those close to the Women's Tag Team Champion in WWE had any idea what exactly was going on. A WWE source told WON that no one knows the nature of the injury or if it was real.
There's a possibility that behind-the-scenes politics played a role in Cargill's absence
A more worrying theory doing the rounds is that Cargill was banned from television because of “political issues.” A hint that backstage politics might be at play here. That Cargill got into a fight with someone or upset someone backstage and the injury is just staged so she can be sent home while the issue is hopefully sorted out. This could lead to Cargill and Bianca Belair being separated, and there's a strong chance that the tag team titles will become vacant soon, regardless of the reason.
The original assumption was that Cargill has a serious injury that will keep her sidelined until WrestleMania 41 at the earliest. If this is even remotely true, WWE will likely reveal what it plans to do with the Women's Tag Titles very soon. Whether it's stripping the champions of their gold or giving Belair a new tag partner. Hopefully of the three theories, the one that says the injury was staged and Cargill is fine and didn't upset anyone backstage is accurate.
