Jake Pauls Promotional company Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has strongly denied allegations that its recent boxing match against Mike Tyson was “rigged”. The fight, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Texas and was broadcast live on Netflix, saw 27-year-old Paul secure a unanimous decision victory over 58-year-old Tyson.
Although the fight is an officially sanctioned professional contest, many viewers speculate about its authenticity.

In response to these claims MVP released a statement Addressing the rumors circulating:
“Trash talk and speculation are commonplace in sport, and athletes and organizers must tolerate nonsensical comments, jokes and opinions. But to suggest anything other than the full commitment of these fighters is not only naive, but an insult to the work they put into their craft and to the sport itself.”
Paul's business partner and MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian also addressed the allegations, particularly those that suggested contractual limitations on Tyson's performance:
“The only thing that bothers me is the ongoing nature of the narrative and people saying the fight is rigged. How would you have viewed the contract from the start that Mike Tyson couldn't throw an uppercut? This is beyond crazy.”
Bidarian emphasized the fight's legitimacy, highlighting its regulation by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and partnership with Netflix:
“This was a professional fight regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. And we were partners with Netflix, the largest media company in the… For anyone who might suggest that this was….”
