Juice Robinson suffered broken fibula in AEW Collision match

Juice Robinson's injury that caused him to be ruled out of the Continental Classic was a fractured fibula in his left leg, not a broken foot, as we were first told over the weekend before the X-rays came back.

The injury occurred in his Nov. 27 match with Will Ospreay in the Chicago tournament, which aired Saturday afternoon on Collision.

The injury occurred at the 2:56 mark of the game when Robinson blocked a sunset flip. There was no indication on TV that anything was wrong and he didn't react as if he had been hurt. However, a still image from a different angle showed the left foot bent at a terrible angle.

Robinson continued the match and showed no visible signs of injury, moving well and coming off the top rope at one point. The only hint of a problem came a few minutes later, when Ospreay attempted a tijeras or huracanrana and Robinson's left leg gave out. There were no further signs of a problem for the rest of the game.

The x-rays showed a fracture in the fibula just above the foot. We don't have an estimated recovery time, but he and Tony Khan were eliminated from the tournament yesterday .

Robinson was known to be injured as he had been on crutches since the game.
