WWE SmackDown returns to USA Network for the first time since 2019. SmackDown joins its sister brand WWE Raw on the network before the red brand moves to Netflix next year.

SmackDown concluded its five-season run on Fox last Friday before its “season premiere” on USA Network. The blue brand will highlight the move with a giant steel cage match. Cody Rhodes defends the WWE Undisputed Championship against Solo Sikoa in the Steel Structure.

WWE and USA Network reached an agreement last September to bring SmackDown back to the network. Accordingly diversityAccording to reports, the deal between WWE and USA Network is worth around $1.4 billion, compared to the $1 billion Fox paid in 2019. WWE will also produce four primetime specials each year for NBC, the first time WWE will air in primetime on the network.

The return of SmackDown means that USA Network, the off-and-on home of Raw since its premiere in 1993, will remain in the professional wrestling space. WWE signed him to a contract last January Bringing Raw to the streaming service Netflix in January 2025.
