A “fresh” take? We’ve needed video replay in some form since cameras started looking down at tennis matches. When was that, the 40s? I mean, I obviously wasn’t alive then, but seriously, players and umpires should have been able to at least take advantage of the tv cameras that were on their match to challenge bad calls. And now that there’s a tech out there with an official name, obviously it needs to be the standard if there isn’t automatic line calling. Now guess what truly needs to be the standard🤷🏻♂️

It's baffling to me that we've had replays with cameras for like 20 ? 30 years? And the ppl in charge didn't plan on using it for arbitration until now. I get that line judges and all were paid to observe but since we're removing them…

Sometimes tennis is ridiculous. Even a faster sport like table tennis aknowledges that if the ball touches the other player's racket or body outside the table the ball was out and the point is lost.
