Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is in the midst of an MVP-like year – .
And yet questions remain about this surgically repaired wrist.
Burrow responded to questions Wednesday about how the upcoming cold weather in Week 13 might affect his wrist and throwing.
“That’s a question that still needs to be answered.” . “I’ve never experienced a cold weather game like that. When I've had injuries in the past, the cold weather has an impact on it…maybe I have a heater on the sidelines or something. I haven’t really thought about it yet, but we’ll see.”
Perhaps most interesting? Burrow said “could have been better” when asked about how he threw in practice midweek. But that's a pretty standard Burrow answer at any temperature.
Burrow has been on the injury report all season as he continues to receive treatment on his wrist and work out scar tissue and the like. But it hasn't affected his game all that much considering he has a 67.2 completion percentage with 3,028 yards and 27 touchdowns to four interceptions.
Right now, a routine, understandable question led to a routine, understandable answer, which could be cause for concern among fans. But chances are Burrow will be fine despite the drop in temperature. Just expect the broadcast to focus on how warm he keeps his wrist on the sideline the entire game.
