Will Ospreay comments on one-year anniversary of AEW signing

It has now been a year since Will Ospreay joined the AEW roster.

On this day in 2023, Ospreay appeared at AEW's Full Gear pay-per-view and was introduced as the promotion's latest addition. It took a few more months for him to join the company full-time, but Ospreay has now established himself as one of AEW's top wrestlers.

He to reflect on the one-year anniversary of his signing. Ospreay said he wants to achieve “so much more” with AEW – and he has his sights set on becoming the promotion's main attraction.

“It’s been a whole year since I’ve been All Elite. “My thanks to this fan base, the roster and everyone who makes @AEW possible,” Ospreay tweeted. “I want to achieve so much more in this company and have big goals to be the headliner one day. Thank you for having me.”

Ospreay has held the AEW International championship twice in the past year, losing the title to Konosuke Takeshita last month. He has yet to win the AEW World championship, but fought for the belt once when Swerve Strickland became champion.

Before signing with AEW, Ospreay spent several years in Japan as one of NJPW's biggest stars. As part of the working relationship between the two companies, he played sporadic matches for AEW starting in 2022.

At this year's Full Gear PPV, Ospreay faces Kyle Fletcher in a grudge match. It takes place this Saturday (November 23) in Newark, New Jersey.
