Mike Evans has been missing since suffering a serious aggravation of his ongoing hamstring injury. He was initially injured in Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints, but took it a step further after scoring his 100th receiving touchdown in Week 7 against the Ravens.
Todd Bowles has hinted that Evans could return after the bye week, and we got a look at his status in Thursday's injury report.
Mike Evans injury update
Evans was limited in training on Wednesday, but he did some work that was a step forward. He was a full participant on Thursday, leading everyone to believe we'll see him return on Sunday against the Giants. Bowles shared that Evans did it towards play, but quarterback gave the most reassuring news about his top target.
“As far as I can see, good and fair [from] When you talk to him, he sees it as a really positive thing. I mean, you know Mike is a professional. He will do everything he can to be back with us and fight for this team as we take it one game at a time.”
How long will Mike Evans be out?
Mike Evans is expected to play on Sunday against the New York Giants. Unless he suffers a major setback in practice on Friday, he shouldn't miss any more time due to this hamstring injury.
