The New England Patriots will have their two best defensive players for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore are both officially active for the game. That's good news for the Patriots ahead of a tough battle against Miami's potent offense.
Gonzalez was a late addition to the injury report Friday with a hip injury, while Barmore is still working on getting back into the lineup after missing most of the season with a blood clot diagnosis.
Unfortunately for the Patriots, they will not have team captain Deatrich Wise Jr. for the game. The veteran defensive end went through warmups before the game and was still not well enough to return from the foot injury he suffered in the Week 10 win over the Chicago Bears.
