– Allen should have thrown an interception. His throw to the middle of the field landed in a Packer pile and was dropped.
– Now Allen throws well behind the bat on a third-and-15. They should use Josh Dobbs.
– Sick tackle for loss by Malik Mustapha. He knocked down Jacobs in the backcourt for a two-point loss.
– Third-and-11, easy pitch and catch for Love and Romeo Doubs on an inbreak route. 29 yards and the Packers are rolling again.
– Another third-down conversion to the doubs. Her body language is terrible.
– Another third-down conversion to the doubs. That's not a typo. That's a three-on-three ratio on third downs, all to Doubs on break-in routes.
– Awkward. The 49ers are without twelve players due to slow substitutions. It was wiped out by an illegal shift penalty in Green Bay. After the dust settled, the 49ers were again flagged for 12 men on the field. This is a coaching mistake.
– touchdown for Jacobs. It's 17:0. This game will be over unless there is a significant turnaround in San Francisco's defense.
– The 49ers get their first first down of the game with 6:22 left in the second quarter. Kyle Juszczyk caught a short throw and turned it for 14 yards.
– Another penalty before the snap. Third-and-2 becomes third-and-7 after a false start by Jake Brendel. What a disaster. Three penalties on the offensive line made life difficult on every 49ers drive.
– Trickery! A handoff, end around, flea flicker on a screen to Deebo Samuel for his first touch. Nice call from Kyle Shanahan and a good opportunity to get Samuel in touch with the blockers up front.
– Not the best rep for Jauan Jennings. He caught a second-down throw just in front of the uprights and then tried to make a player miss the field instead of falling forward for a first down. That led to a third-and-1 where the 49ers jumped early AGAIN, putting them on third-and-6.
– Great for Allen. He hit Kittle in the back of the end zone for a touchdown with just over a minute left in the first half. That was a nice performance from the backup QB. He got the ball out of his hands quickly and found open receivers for a handful of great third-down conversions. More importantly, it gives the 49ers defense a real break. They were on the field for 19:05 minutes and their offense was on the field for just 4:22 minutes prior to this series.
– The 49ers missed 15 tackles in the first half, according to the broadcast.
– Wow. Christian Watson dropped a touchdown. San Francisco got lucky after the Packers WR went in behind Isaac Yiadom.
– Two more deep shots and good coverage from Renardo Green and Deommodore Lenoir prevented Green Bay from getting into the end zone or field goal range.
– Ricky Pearsall returns punts, Jacob Cowing is out.
