That's easy. The 49ers don't need their backup signal-caller to throw for 300 yards and four touchdowns, they just need him to hit designated layups, convert on some third downs and avoid turnovers. If he can do those three things, San Francisco's offense has a chance to excel with its No. 2 quarterback in the game.
