Shubman Gill doubtful to recover from finger injury in time for 2nd Test against Australia

Star Indian dough Shubman Gill's Participation in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide remains uncertain. The right-handed batsman is recovering from a broken left thumb that kept him out of the first Test and could potentially sideline him for a long period.

Sources close to the team mentioned that even after the initial healing period, Gill will still need extensive match practice before being considered for selection. The team has already been forced to reshuffle its batting order due to Gill's absence and Rohit Sharma's earlier unavailability.
