NEW DELHI: Jack of all trades Hardik Pandya was at his absolute best on Wednesday as his sizzling 30-ball 69 helped Baroda to a thrilling three-wicket win over Tamil Nadu Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Indore.
Hardik lit up the Holkar Stadium with his brutal knock in the high-scoring encounter where the 31-year-old hit four fours and seven whopping sixes.
In a sheer display of his batting prowess, Hardik took the TN bowlers to the cleaners and hit them to all corners of the park.
Gurjapneet Singh, in particular, came under Hardik's radar as the all-rounder scored 29 in his 17th over with the help of four consecutive sixes and a four.
Chasing a massive 222-run target, Hardik's stunning try at No.6 helped Baroda to a final-ball victory.
With Baroda needing 11 in the final over, Hardik suffered an unfortunate run-out but Raj Limbani and A Sheth held their nerve and took Baroda over the line on the last ball.
Hardik is there SMAT After a long time, this time he is playing under the guidance of his elder brother Krunal Pandya.
Hardik has been in top form in the SMAT so far.
In the two games before the TN game, Hardik scored an unbeaten 74 against Gujarat and then hit a 41 not out against Uttarakhand.
