The cricketer has reportedly undergone surgery to recover from his long-standing chronic left groin problem and ensure he is back in tip-top shape ahead of the challenges ahead.

Besides that Mohammed Shami And Axar Pateltwo of the most notable absentees from the squad, there was no Kuldeep in India's 18-man squad for the five-Test Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
The left-arm wrist spinner featured in the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru before making way for Washington Sundar in the second contest in Pune.
BCCI clarified the reason for not mentioning the 29-year-old by name on the Down Under tour.
“Kuldeep Yadav was not available for selection for the tour of Australia as he was referred to the BCCI Center of Excellence for long-term resolution of his chronic left groin problem after the end of the ongoing Test series against New Zealand,” the board had said.
Against New Zealand, Kuldeep picked up three wickets in the first innings, including that of Rachin Ravindra, who proved to be a crucial player in the visitors' eight-wicket win.
