I had way too much fun defeating IShowSpeed at a recent sparring session in New Zealand.
The popular streamer was recently touring the country and part of his trip involved him heading to Hooker's gym, where the UFC lightweight contender seemed happy to see him. Speed couldn't help but challenge Hooker to some punches in the cage and shockingly, it didn't go well for him.
Watch a clip of Hooker taking on Speed, streamed live on Speed's, below Channel.
Speed initially laid down some ground rules, demanding that there be no kicks and no submissions. The changes didn't start yet, however, as after a few seconds of facing Hooker, Speed also asked to swap out the MMA gloves for the larger boxing gloves.
None of that made a difference as Hooker, a veteran of 22 UFC fights, had his way with the streaming star. He hit Speed with punches from all angles, dropped him multiple times, and even prevailed in a 2-on-1 fight when Speed brought in a partner for support.
Hooker then praised Speed for having “balls of steel.”
It's business as usual for Speed, as he's not only one of the most popular YouTubers in the world, but he's also known for challenging athletes at their own pace. He recently gave Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles a scare when the two of them in the 50 meter dash.
