Buffalo Bills rooting interest guide during the bye week

The Buffalo Bills won't be on your television screen in the coming days. The team, which has a record of 9-2, has a well-deserved bye week.

Even if the Bills fail to close out the game this weekend, that doesn't mean football will stop. There are numerous games played throughout the NFL and that means Buffalo will continue to be interested.

So here's a guide to rooting interest for Bills fans during the season Bye week:

Steelers at Browns (Thursday)

USAT

To arouse interest: Tan.

The Browns are 2-8. Your season is over. However, Buffalo will hope they have some pride in the Steelers when they face the AFC North. The Steelers are 8-2, right behind the Bills in third place in the conference standings.

Chiefs at Panthers (1 p.m.)

USAT

To arouse interest: Panthers.

Clearly: put down roots against the Chiefs. The only team ahead of the second-place Bills in the AFC. However, it is a long shot. The Panthers are… not good.

Titans at Texans (1 p.m.)

USAT

To arouse interest: Titans.

The Steelers-Browns have struggled quite a bit, except that the Texans (7-4) are in fourth place in the conference. But the Titans share a modest 2-8 record with the Browns.

Lions at Colts (1 p.m.)

USAT

To arouse interest: Lions.

The Bills already have a head-to-head matchup with the Colts, but since the Lions are an NFC team and the Colts (5-6) are still in the AFC playoffs, they might as well opt for a longer distance between Indy and use Buffalo.

Patriots at Dolphins (1 p.m.)

To arouse interest: Patriots.

The Bills are way ahead in the AFC East. But for those curious, the Dolphins are in second place and a Patriots win would make that gap even bigger for the Bills.

Broncos at Raiders (4 p.m.)

To arouse interest: Robber.

Like several other teams already listed, the Raiders (2-8) are eliminated, but their opponent is a division rival still in the playoffs. The Broncos (6-5) are currently the last team in the Wild Card and could just as well be further away from the Bills with a win for the Raiders.
