Buffalo Bills’ Taron Johnson breaks down Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

In the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills will do their best not to make the game any bigger than it already is.

Head coach Sean McDermott has already dusted off his trademark “control what we can control” phrase this week his video conference.

Still, the Bills (8-2) have to deal with Travis Kelce, while the Chiefs (9-0) Come to town on Sunday.

Kelce's reputation as one of the NFL's best playmakers is justified, but if Buffalo wants to “control” him, much of that responsibility will fall on Taron Johnson.

Johnson is well aware of what it's like to face Kelce, having done so many times in both the regular season and postseason.

“He’s such a smart player,” Johnson said. “He knows his angles and is really good at leverage.”

“I feel like Patrick Mahomes is on the same page as him,” Johnson added. “I think the most important thing is how smart a player is [Kelce] is how smart Patrick is.”

The Kansas City tight end is averaging 4.85 catches per game against Buffalo for 62.8 yards. It's worth noting that these numbers also include his early, not-so-productive years, which predate Mahomes' time as his QB.

However, these are still good numbers that the Bills don't want to give up in Week 11.
