The New England Patriots announced this on Monday. The corresponding move was the team's release of linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.
Parker most recently played with the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing as a rookie free agent in April and was released in late August.
He had a successful college career. In 2023, he totaled 114 tackles in 14 games, as well as two sacks, two passes defended and a forced fumble at Appalachian State.
Giles-Harris played in several games for the Patriots this year, mostly on special teams. At the end of October he was added to the active squad for the first time for the New York Jets game. He was last activated for the Los Angeles Rams game on November 17th and had two defensive tackles and one tackle on special teams.
The Patriots suffered a 25:24 defeat against the Indianapolis Colts. They are currently in a bye week, meaning they will have plenty of time to rotate their squad members in preparation for the final four games of the season.
