New England Patriots rising star defensive tackle Christian Barmore returned to practice for the first time this season on Thursday.
It was the first time Barmore had trained since he was diagnosed with blood clots and was sidelined indefinitely over the summer.
There was always hope that he would return to action, but given the gravity of the situation, the team waited until he was fully cleared and ready to go back on the field.
New England was missing his defensive presence, as was linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley, who is out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle. The loss of Barmore and Bentley has left the Patriots vulnerable to the run.
The hope is that Barmore's return alongside Davon Godchaux will provide a huge boost to the Patriots' defense.

noted that Barmore was seen at the Patriots' facility almost daily to stay in shape. So he obviously prepared for this moment long before it came.
