The New York Jets were beaten on and off the field by Geno Smith in Week 13.
After a hot start, the Jets (3-9) eventually built a 14-point lead against the Seattle Seahawks (7-5).
The win was huge for the Hawks and certainly for their quarterback. Not only does the win keep Seattle atop the NFC West standings, Smith also defeated the Jets in his first return to New York to face Gang Green.
Smith, who was drafted by New York in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, spent four seasons with the franchise. His career came back to life with the Seahawks and he let his former team know it too.
After the win, Smith posted the perfect meme on social media, perhaps alluding to some kind of “funeral” in reference to the Jets' 2024 season.
