Where New York Jets rank heading into Week 11

Last week: 24

Result Week 10: Lost in Arizona 31-6

In case there was any doubt, it's now official.

The New York Jets imploded.

The preseason talk of deep playoff runs and an AFC East title with Aaron Rodgers under center now seems ridiculous. After being waxed by the Cardinals in Week 10, the Jets are 3-7 — one game worse than the team was at this point a season ago.

Rodgers was atrocious on Sunday – 151 passing yards and 4.3 yards per attempt. After the loss, Rodgers lamented a lack of energy from the team following last week's win over the Houston Texans.

“I thought after a big win on Thursday night, a nice long week, we would come out with a lot of energy and win the game, but we didn't show great energy on either side of the ball,” Rodgers told reporters.

The 40-year-old wasn't sure where he and the Jets should go from now on.

“There were definitely a lot of emotions this year,” he said. “Lots of different emotions. That's a complex answer, but now is neither the time nor the place to address it. But someday I’ll give you a better answer.”

Guess we'll have to wait for this week's spot on The Pat McAfee Show to see what he meant.

Analyst opinion

The Jets should stop talking about the playoffs. playoffs? playoffs? The Jets have a number of talented players, but they are not a formidable team and lack identity on both ends. Gang Green needs a new coaching staff to get everything in order, and that won't happen until 2025. The Jets should preach one game at a time before even thinking about the playoffs.
