Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski took the podium to answer some questions Wednesday afternoon. Those questions included whether he met with offensive tackle Jedrick Wills not participating in their Week 9 competition.
When asked about the comment, Kevin Stefanski responded that he spoke with the offensive tackle and that it will not negatively impact his chances of playing again this season.
“It was a bad choice of words and he understands that,” the Browns head coach said . Since his absence, Wills has been replaced at left tackle by second-year offensive tackle Dawand Jones. While the current tackling situation has improved compared to earlier in the season, many fans can't help but think about his consistently solid performances over the past few years.
Unless Jones has any significant issues, Jedrick Wills will likely remain on the bench for now, as he would have done before the comment was made.
