LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah ‘likely lost for the season’

The Cleveland Browns were forced to place their star linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on injured reserve after his neck was jammed against the Baltimore Ravens.

Owusu-Koramoah collided with running back Derrick Henry and went limp. He was carted from the field, transported to the hospital and kept overnight for observation. While he walked and was released a day later, the Browns will be without him for at least the next three weeks, including the upcoming game .

However, Mary Kay Cabot, Browns insider at Cleveland Dotcom, offers a bleaker outlook on Owusu-Koramoah's future and his return to the field. After He told the media he was praying for a miraculous recovery for fellow linebacker Kay Cabot on the future of Owusu-Koramoah:

“But the Browns haven't said much since then about Owusu-Koramoah, who was placed on injured reserve for at least four games and is likely out for the season. At this time, no one has said whether he will be able to continue his NFL career, and at the very least he will have to undergo another comprehensive round of scans before getting back on the field.”

Cabot is eligible to return in early December, making it sound like the Browns are putting the linebacker on hold for the remainder of a lost season. Additionally, Owusu-Koramoah may have to make a bigger decision regarding his career as an NFL player as his long-term health is at stake.
