Since Kevin O'Connell took over as head coach, the Vikings have played many one-point games. Just last weekend, Minnesota went back to the end as usual. The Vikings defeated the Cardinals by just one point.
Minnesota has already played eight one-score games this season. Kevin O'Connell has the third-best winning percentage (.727) for one-score games in NFL history (minimum 25 games). .
Guy Chamberlin: .759 (22-7-7) (coached from 1920 to 1927)
John Madden: .732 (40-14-7)
Kevin O'Connell: .727 (24-9)
The one thing Minnesota fans want to see more of is the Vikings continuing to put their foot down. Either the Vikings take an early lead before their opponent gets back into the game, or the Vikings falter early and have to stage an epic last-minute comeback to win the game.
Hopefully things will get a little easier on Sunday when the struggling Atlanta Falcons come to town. It will be the first time the Vikings face Kirk Cousins since leaving Minnesota.
