Following the Vikings' thrilling overtime win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, two Minnesota players were named so fans can vote on it.
quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jordan Addison are up for voting in their respective categories. Competing with the two Vikings are Patrick Mahomes from the Chiefs, Tua Tagovailoa from the Dolphins, Saquon Barkley from the Eagles and Josh Jacobs from the Packers.
Darnold was 22 of 34 for 330 yards and two scores in the win over the Bears. He helped orchestrate several shots on goal and made crucial shots in the final period to give the Vikings a chance to win the game.
His favorite afternoon destination was Addison. The second-year receiver had eight catches for 162 yards and a score. With Justin Jefferson having an off game, Addison really stepped up and made several big plays for the Minnesota offense.
