It may look like the Buccaneers are a game behind the Falcons, but they are actually already two games behind. Since Atlanta beat Tampa Bay this year, the Falcons will hold the tiebreaker if the two teams finish with the same record.
Atlanta is also ahead of the Saints in the tiebreaker because it has the better division record. There is no way the Saints can take back the tiebreaker this season. New Orleans would have to finish with a better overall record than the Falcons to overtake them in the NFC South.
Atlanta hosts the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13. The last time the Falcons beat the Chargers was during the 2012 NFL season. Since then, Atlanta has lost three straight games to Los Angeles. Sunday's game begins at 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
