Panthers designate S Nick Scott to return to practice

The Carolina Panthers defense continues to recover.

The team has designated safety Nick Scott to return to practice, it was announced Wednesday afternoon. The sixth-year veteran has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury.

Scott joined the Panthers this past offseason. He has appeared in seven games so far with four starts – totaling 28 combined tackles and two passes defended.

Carolina placed Scott on injured reserve the day before hers against the Denver Broncos.

He now has 21 days to be added to the 53-man roster.

In addition to Scott, the Panthers also recently designated outside linebacker Amaré Barno to return to practice. Barno, whose time window was three weeks He was acquired by the team on November 18 and has not yet played this season as he continues his comeback from a torn ACL he suffered in late 2023.
