Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard didn't let a minor knee dislocation stop him from his big day.
The fourth-year rusher starred in Sunday via the New York Giants, where he threw for a career-high 153 yards and a touchdown. But that memorable outing was almost entirely cut short in the fourth quarter when that happened. . .
Chuba Hubbard had an injury scare in this game. Limped off but came back in the next series and immediately took a few touches.
At this point I sighed in relief

However, Hubbard came back on the field on the next possession – and even recorded a 6-yard run on the first play of the following drive. After clinching victory, he told reporters what happened:
Chuba Hubbard said he briefly dislocated his knee while fumbling on the play. Has happened before.

Then on Monday afternoon, head coach Dave Canales was asked about Hubbard.
“He’s good,” Canales replied. “He checked well on the sideline, came back and finished the game.”
Well, between securing one Hubbard on Thursday and after escaping a potentially devastating injury en route to a career performance on Sunday, Hubbard may be on a generational shift right now.
