Panthers sign rookie Wr Sam Pinckney back to practice squad

As announced on Wednesday, it is the Carolina Panthers Added wideout Sam Pinckney to their practice squad. This will be the rookie receiver's second stint with the group in 2024.

Carolina initially signed Pinckney, a local product of Coastal Carolina University, as an undrafted free agent last spring. The Greenwood, SC native played his final two collegiate campaigns with the Chanticleers after spending his first four (as a Panther) at Georgia State University.

In his six seasons, Pinckney totaled 256 receptions for 3,691 yards and 24 touchdowns in 59 Sun Belt Conference games. He was selected to the All-Sun Belt Conference second team in 2020 and third team in 2022 and 2023.

After his release amid the to their original 53-man 2024 regular season roster, Pinckney as a member of the practice on September 25th. It would be him again just five days later to make room for fellow receiver Deven Thompkins and tight end Stephen Sullivan.
