Colts add defensive tackle to practice squad following Week 11 win

The Indianapolis Colts made a series of practice squad moves on Monday following their Week 12 loss to the Detroit Lions.

The that they brought back cornerback Tre Flowers and added defensive end Durell Nchami.

To make room for these two new additions, the Colts released offensive tackle Sebastian Gutierrez and defensive end Derek Rivers.

Flowers was released from the practice squad just last week to make room for Mark Glowinski, who was added. Flowers is an experienced player who appeared in 94 regular season games.

Flowers last played 200 snaps with Atlanta in 2023, allowing 10 receptions on 14 targets for 17.7 yards per catch with a pass breakup.

Nchami went undrafted by Maryland in 2023. He spent time on Denver's practice squad at the end of last season and also attended the Broncos' training camp last summer.

Nchami played in 33 college games, including 14 starts, and recorded 17.5 tackles for loss with nine sacks and four forced fumbles.

Rivers was just re-signed to the Colts practice squad last week . Rivers spent training camp in Indianapolis and most of the regular season on the practice squad. He is a former third-round pick in 2017 and played 336 defensive snaps in his career.

Finally, Gutierrez was signed to the practice squad on October 28th. He went undrafted out of Minot State in 2022 and spent time with Cleveland San Francisco, Las Vegas, New England and Kansas City, where he appeared in one regular season game on special teams in 2022.

GM Chris Ballard has been shaking up the back end of Indianapolis' practice squad almost weekly this season.
