Trevor Penning among the OTs in Week 10:
⚜️ 92.8 PFF grade (1st)
⚜️ 94.7 run blocking grade (1st)
⚜️ 27 pass-blocking snaps
⚜️ 1 print allowed– PFF NO Saints (@PFF_Saints)
Trevor Penning could do it. The New Orleans Saints right tackle was named the top-rated blocker of Week 10 by Pro football Focus with a PFF player grade of 92.8.
That's impressive despite the subjective caveats that come with PFF grades. Penning had the league's best grade as a run blocker (4.7) and was accused of allowing just one pressure in 27 snaps in pass protection. After switching to the right side, he really comes into his own, even if his project isn't finished yet.
He just needs to keep piling up good days and good games like this. The best thing you can say about an offensive tackle is how little you hear from him on game days, and to Penning's credit he has mostly stayed out of the spotlight by cleaning up his mistakes. Apart from a few poorly timed penalties, that is. Let's see if he can hold out.
