Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride makes history in loss to Vikings

The Arizona Cardinals suffered a disappointing 23-22 road loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13 on Sunday. But tight end Trey McBride made history with the loss.

He caught 12 passes for 96 yards in the game. It was the second straight game with 12 receptions for McBride, who caught 12 for 133 yards in Week 12 at Seattle.

Including McBride to have consecutive 12-catch games.

He has 73 receptions for 781 yards in 12 games this season. His current pace has him hoping for 103 catches for 1,106 yards. As a tight end last season, he set the franchise single-season record for receptions with 81. He'll probably break this one. This projected yardage would still be below the franchise single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end. This is held by Hall of Famer Jackie Smith, who had 1,205 receiving yards in 1967.
