Maxx Crosby, fellow Raiders voice frustrations with disorganization

When things are as trendy as they always have been It's only natural for team leaders to speak up and make their voices heard.

It is also to be expected that there will be some frustration.

With the Raiders currently on a five-game losing streak, star defensive end and team captain Maxx Crosby, along with several teammates, were given the opportunity to address the current situation in Las Vegas in an open player and staff meeting.

According to a report from Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, Crosby and his teammates spoke about what they saw on a weekly basis.

After the coaches' meeting on Monday, the team met with the staff and everyone was able to express their opinion. According to available sources, a few themes emerged. Players struggled with the schedule not being efficient. There was a lack of organization and “waste of time” as well as a “lack of discipline and responsibility.”

A source described the meeting as “uncomfortable for all parties.” – Jones, CBS Sports.

As is typical of these types of meetings, Jones said the hope was that the discussions would lead to positive changes for the Raiders in the second half of the season.

Heading into their bye week, head coach Antonio Pierce and the franchise overhauled their offensive personnel following the Raiders' 41-24 loss .

Offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello and offensive line coach James Cregg were all fired following the loss to the Bengals.

Las Vegas brought in former head coach Norv Turner as a senior advisor. Scott Turner, Norv's son, has been promoted from passing game coordinator to interim offensive coordinator and Joe Philbin has taken over as the Raiders' interim offensive line coach after previously serving as a senior offensive assistant.

Jones noted that this meeting “had nothing to do with the meeting between the players and the head coach almost exactly a year ago.”

At that pre-Halloween meeting, Raiders players grilled then-head coach Josh McDaniels about his behavior and the way he ran the team. Raiders owner Mark Davis .

Crosby and the Raiders hope to turn their fortunes around when they report on their bye week on Monday. The Raiders travel to (2-6) on Sunday, November 17th, with kickoff scheduled for 10 a.m. PT.
