It could well be the beginning of a new era in the Big Apple. It was announced Wednesday morning that newly minted starting quarterback Tommy DeVito, who is dealing with a forearm injury sustained in New York's upset loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is unlikely to play on Thanksgiving. The Giants are scheduled to travel to Big D to face the Cowboys, but DeVito may not be the frontrunner.
If DeVito isn't there, that means Drew Lock, who was substituted, will find his way back into the starting position.
According to source, it is very likely that QB Tommy DeVito will be able to play against the Cowboys on Thursday. That brings up Drew Lock first.
The Giants say DeVito will undergo further evaluation.

Now Lock will probably get the chance to rectify the situation and prove what he can do. He won a game for the Seahawks last season, upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football – A game that showed he can still play winning football at a high level.
The 2-9 Giants haven't won a game since beating the Seahawks in Seattle in a Week 5 game. I think it's safe to say that the 12th Man will be betting on his former quarterback for two reasons:
- For his success, as Lock was nothing more than a consummate professional for the Hawks and helped save their 2023 season
- So the Seahawks aren't the last (or perhaps only) win the Giants get in 2024
