Tyler Lockett made Seahawks history in the first quarter vs 49ers

It has been clear for several years that Tyler Lockett is by far the second best receiver in Seattle Seahawks history. He trails only the legendary Steve Largent in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns. He now joins Largent in a different category on Sunday.

In the first quarter against the San Francisco 49ers, Lockett officially became the second player in franchise history to total 13,000 yards as a Seahawk.

As a receiver, Lockett had 8,450 yards through the air before this game. As a rusher, he has an additional 265 yards. But what helped Lockett get over the line is his 4,266 return yards – both kick and punt returns. When you combine those stats with his 510 receiving yards in the playoffs, you get a number that surpasses the combined mark of 13,000.

Congratulations to Lockett as he continues to prove that he is one of the best players to ever wear a Seahawks jersey.

Right now, the Seahawks are trailing the 49ers 7-3 with 0:10 seconds left in the first quarter. Lockett has two receptions for 19 yards.
