Harry Kane continued his good form this season and inspired Bayern Munich to victory on Friday evening.
The English captain also set another Bundesliga record with his eighth hat-trick for the club.
Kane scored all three goals in Bayern's 3-0 win over Augsburg at the Allianz Arena.
He completed his treble with two goals in stoppage time and scored 50 Bundesliga goals in just 43 games.
This makes the 31-year-old the fastest player in history to achieve this feat.
It comes just two months after Kane achieved 50 Bundesliga goal contributions.
He scored goals and assists in 35 games, eight fewer than the previous record holder .
Kane has scored an incredible 64 goals in 61 games since joining the German giants last summer.
These goals include 20 in 17 games in all competitions this season.
He is now clearly at the top of the Bundesliga top scorers list.
The former Tottenham striker also scored for England last weekend, taking his record to 69 with his penalty against the Republic of Ireland.
Bayern extended their lead at the top of the table with Friday's victory over 10-man Augsburg.
Second place are eight points further behind, but have played one game less.
Kane and Bayern are next in action at home in the Champions League on Tuesday.
