Real Betis establish three man shortlist to strengthen central defensive options
Real Betis want to strengthen their central defender department next summer. Currently, head coach Manuel Pellegrini has the options of Natan, Diego Llorente, Marc Bartra and youngster Nobel Mendy, with the former only on loan from Napoli (although they have an option to buy).

Accordingly The Betis sports department, led by sports director Manu Fajardo, has already drawn up a three-man shortlist. Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson is very popular, while Sebastian Boselli (River Plate) and Martin Vitik (Slavia Prague) are also options being considered.

Vitik is perhaps the most exciting of the trio, and Betis may be able to secure a bargain deal if they target him – his Slavia contract expires in 2026, so he could be available at a reduced price next summer.

It remains to be seen who get going, even if there is still a lot of time left to search. Club officials will be determined to sign the right player, no matter how long it takes.
