Marner has literally played against McDavid since they were kids. So he may have a little experience in that department. Marner has also been in the Selke conversation, but he doesnt take faceoffs.
Now if we only had this version of Mitch during the playoffs😢
I hear that Toronto is the most hated fan base in the NHL, and after their hissy fit during Boston in the first round…the media made Mitch Marner out to be the villain.
But I help and now that they’re buying into the new coaches style because it would be a shame to have all that talent with first round exits.
But I’m sure beating McDavid and Drysdale Boosted the confidence.
I’m from Utah, Born in the 80s style my childhood in the 90s and I was a huge NHL fan but since we don’t have a local teen trip for I just grew up enjoying the sport… and I always thought Santo had a Christmas jerseys when I would collect NHL cards and then arrange them in those plastic three hole punch sheets by teams.
I know that Utah acquired phoenixes coyotes, I can no longer be none biased when it come to rooting for a NHL team… but I guess I can still root for my favorite Canadian team and right now I have a three-way tie between Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.
What do things keep up looks like Winnipeg gonna be hoisting the cup this year…But I know there’s still a lot of hockey to be played

If only he played like this in the playoffs. He needs to learn how to protect the puck against physical defenders and know how to draw penalties. There are plenty of smaller players who can remain effective in the playoffs
