The Cincinnati Bengals started their bye week with a little help on Thursday night as the Cleveland Browns upset the Pittsburgh Steelers.
These Steelers were top of the AFC North and fell to 8-3 with the loss.
The Week 12 weekend was a mixed bag for the resting Bengals. Tennessee surprisingly defeated Houston, bringing the Texans back to 7-5. But Miami defeated New England to go 5-6.
Denver later improved to 7:5, while Las Vegas failed to pull off an upset at 2:9, despite leading at halftime.
Overall, not the best help from the Bengals perspective. As with all possible outcomes from here on out, all that matters is that the Bengals continue to win games.
That starts in Week 13 against the Steelers, then even in prime time against the Dallas Cowboys, the only non-AFC team still on the schedule.
At least on Monday evening there will be a showdown between the AFC teams Baltimore and the Los Angeles Chargers, who have already won seven wins.
