The Cincinnati Bengals had invited veteran cornerback Xavien Howard to practice on Monday, but the two teams couldn't agree on a deal.
According to NFL Network The Bengals made Howard an offer after practice, but he has since declined and went home while waiting for further calls.
The Bengals will have to look elsewhere for help at cornerback with Dax Hill lost this season and Cam Taylor-Britt in the midst of a regression that has seen him benched at least once before.
Also Cincinnati on Monday, although not with the expected name.
