Anders Carlson is on the New York Jets roster.
At the start of the bye week, the team announced that Carlson had been added to the team's 53-man roster.
Carlson was already the Jets' kicker, but he came off the practice squad. Now he is in the actual squad.
In a corresponding move, defensive tackle Bruce Hector was released.
Carlson attempted just one kick for the Jets in his only game with the team. He did it.
Before Carlson took over the kicking job, Spencer Shrader was handling it. However, he remained on the practice squad and was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets could have kept Shrader, but they were obviously okay with Carlson.
But why make such a mistake twice? Nobody can sign Carlson now.
will continue to provide all roster updates throughout the 2024 NFL season.
