Jones returns after missing the last two games against the Cardinals and Patriots.
“I’m super excited,” he said. “It's a great week to come back, Green Bay week, and [I’m] I’m just excited to go out there and just try to provide consistency and keep doing my job.”
The return of Jones and Wright will provide a boost at left-back Teven Jenkins was ruled out of Sunday's game because of an ankle injury he suffered against New England last weekend. Eberflus said that Ryan Bates will start at left guard in place of Jenkins against Green Bay.
On the other side of the ball, defensive end Montez sweat is considered questionable with an ankle injury but is expected to play.
“We are very optimistic,” said Eberflus. “We have a good feeling about it.”
Sweating increased throughout the week, with full training on Friday after missing Wednesday and limited training on Thursday.
Eberflus provided context on why security Jaquan Brisker was placed on injured reserve this week because of a concussion suffered on Oct. 6 that forced him to miss the last four games.
“The question now is why,” said Eberflus. “We tried to get him beyond protocol, but we kept having setbacks. We just feel like it's best for us to take a step back. It's always about the health and safety of the player. That's why we did it. This is it.” We hope he will improve over time.
More injury news: rookie offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (Wade) was ruled out of Sunday's game for safety reasons Tarvarius Moore (Concussion) is questionable.
