Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Karl Brooks was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a field goal to help the Packers' 20-19 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 11 of the 2024 season secure.
Kicker Cairo Santos made a 46-yard field goal with three seconds left, but Brooks raised his left arm and got just enough of an attempt to leave the ball just before time expired.
Brooks joined Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Leo Chenal (Week 10) as the second player to block a game-winning field goal attempt and be named Special Teams Player of the Week this season.
Brooks is the first Packers player to be named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week since Keisean Nixon in Week 17 of 2022. He is also the first Packers defensive lineman to win this award.
