It didn't take long for cornerback Troy Hill to find a new home after being released by the Carolina Panthers last month. Hell, he didn't even have to move to another department.
And now he feels a little more comfortable in his new home.
It was announced Monday that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added Hill to their active roster. The move comes 19 days after the NFC South rivals signed the 10th-year veteran to their practice squad.
The Panthers with Hill in front of hers against the Washington Commanders. That decision ended Hill's two-year career in Carolina, where he recorded 80 total tackles, one interception, seven passes defended and one forced fumble in 22 games.
Hill had been the Panthers' primary cornerback up to that point. Those duties were then given to 2024 fifth-round pick Chau Smith-Wade, who has struggled in that role.
Veteran Dane Jackson appears to have taken over the spot recently, as he played a team-high 35 snaps from the slot about the New York Giants.
